Self portrait

I created two different self portraits. One in a negative effect with my favorite colors pink and green and the other in a more realistic style with emphasis on the color of my eyes. To create these images i first took a picture of myself and changes them using filters on photoshop. Once I played around with all the different textures and effects that I could use to change my portrait, I found effects that worked best for my image. The first one I used the negative glow and the second artistic paint bush effect. After i distorted my look in the first image I changed the color to represent myself. In the second I used the brush tool to paint my eyes a dark green so they would stand out in my new image. I created two images beacuse I enjoy changing pictures and couldnt decide between the two that I created. I was happy with the results of both images they are unusual but both reflect my personality.

Surrealism

I created this surrealistic image by taking different objects from other pictures. It is an image of the horizon with mountains, a moon and the sky. In the center of the picture is two trees both dissorted and irregular. I started out with the water and the sky and added an upside down tree which was in color. Then i found a black and white tree that was right side up and paste that on top of the upside down tree. I changed the look of the black and white tree to match the almost swaying look of the upside down tree. Next I paste in mountains and the moon and changed the look of those objects a little to correspond with the surrealistic image I was creating. I added a few more clouds at the bottom that matched with the mountains. Once all my objects were changed and distorted I liked the outcome of this new image. The image that I created is something you'll never see, it makes you look twice. I am very happy with my surrealistic image.

To create this image, I frist found a picture of the intense ocean waves and uploaded it into photoshop. Next i found a picture of a sea otter floating on its back in a river. I selected the otter image and layered it on top of the ocean waves. So the waves could be visible i earsed some of the river from the otter image and lowered the cpacity. This way the ocean and the otter were both visible. I transformed the otter straight on the page and was happy with the outcome. I think my image came out unique and I am happy the way I created it. Next time I will try to change the colors around a little to make my image more interesting.

I scanned these 3 photos that I had because they are all beautiful objects with fine detail. I took all these pictures on vacation and scanned then onto my computer making them bigger. I do not have photoshop on my computer so i was unable to experiment with the different techniques to make theses photos more unique. After i figured out how to use my scanner i was able to scan my photos very easily. However i didnt know how to change the DPI of the photos but they automatically scanned larger than my actual photograph. Once the pictures scanned they opened into my picture manager where i was able to save and upload them into my blogger. I think uploading pictures directly from my digital camera is much easier than the scanning process.

Self Portrait

When creating my self portrait, i first selected a photo from my facebook. After pasting it into photoshop i got rid of my red eye and began to play around with the different colors and textures to distort my picture. I tested out many different colors but decided to have my photo in grayscale. I also tried out different curves and lines to blurr out my photo and i liked how it contrasted with the color. I enjoyed experimenting with all the different ways to change one photograph in photoshop. I'm happy with the result of my portrait its simple but still different from an oridnary photgraph.
